Job 6, 7, Galatians 6:11 /Bible Notes

”Stop assuming my guilt, for I have done no wrong. Do you think I am lying? Don’t I know the difference between right and wrong?“

Job 6:29-30 NLT

Job responds angrily to his friend’s counsel because he has done nothing wrong. On top of being burdened with a terrible disease, and the recent loss of his children, he is now being accused of great sin. Job doesn’t mince words about his sorrow. He is clearly suffering and filled with grief and in the midst of it. But while he scorns his birth and wishes for death he still does not curse God

These chapters in Job today remind us of Gods grace and mercy towards us.

”As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.“

Galatians 6:14 NLT

”May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.“

Galatians 6:16 NLT

Christ’s sacrifice is everything, because of it we can be new people and live rightly. We are saved because of Him, is there anything we could truly boast about compared to that?
