”Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.“ – Genesis 1:31 NLT
God delighted in His creation. God is glad with what He had made and
freely gives dominion over it to the pinnacle of his creation, that which bears his image, man.
God delights in giving His good gifts to man, just as a parent is pleased to give good things to their children.
It’s also worth noting, in my mind, that God creates exactly what He means to. His creativity is one of intent and purpose. He takes the time to review all of what He made and calls it what it is: very good.
Hebrews 11:1-3 reminds us of how creation came to be and how we can understand that by our faith. Our faith is foundational for our worldview, and when we look at creation, we can see order, intentional artistry, and beauty; the handiwork of a loving, purposeful, and good God.
